My Thoughts on Tutti Rouge Jessica with SuperBoost

Tutti Rouge, Jessica, Superboost, cleavage, illegal cleavage, bra fit. push up bra

I got the Tutti Rouge Jessica in 30E from a swap on Bratabase.  For some reason I really like black and "nude" bras, I'm not sure what it is, but they really catch my attention.  Forgive me for the excessive amount of photos, but I really love the aesthetics of this set.

Without Boosters
I had been interested in the Jessica since I first found out what the concept was.  In case anyone isn't familiar with Jessica, it is an unlined bra but it comes with cookie pockets and 2 different cookies a smaller one and a larger one (Tutti Booster (large) and Super Booster)small one inside larger one).  The larger cookie has a pocket in it to put the smaller one in.  This gives you 2 levels of boost, and the option to wear it just unlined.

I hadn't seen many reviews on the Jessica, but from what I've seen it seems like wearing it completely unlined is the more popular choice.  As an unlined bra it fits nicely and gives a somewhat natural shape.

Without Boosters

The boosters do give boost and more cleavage, but personally I'm not quite sold on them.  I like the cleavage, but I don't like the appearance the the "Boosters" give.  The boosters only go into the outer section of the cup.  I find this gives a bit of an odd squarish shape and makes them too visible.

With just the large set worn alone you get a subtle more "soft hills" style cleavage.

With 1 Set of Boosters

With the Boosters worn together you get full blown cleavage, no subtlety here.
With Both Boosters, here you can really see the out line of the boosters.
As an unlined bra the Jessica is pretty nice although the wires aren't narrow (5.8in), but the cups are deep (nearly 10in on a 30E).  The Jessica fits much nicer on me than the Nichole which I had issues with in several sizes.  Without the cookies, the Jessica provides subtle lift and a somewhat round shape, but also slightly minimized and wideset.  It doesn't offer as much forward projection as a Cleo.

I have only really given Jessica try as an unlined bra as I don't care for the shape I get with the boosters.  Since hearing that they can conform to your shape over time, I may give it another shot.  As an unlined bra it fits fairly well for me.  I did notice it felt like the underwires were sitting low, but when I took the bra off the marks were perfectly in my IMF, so not sure if it was how I was sitting or just a strange feeling, I may try wearing it with the band on tighter hooks. Also despite having wider wires, they weren't too far off despite measure a good half inch wider than most my really good fitting unlined bras.

Without Boosters.
With 1 set of Boosters, you can see the outline of the boosters at the vertical seam.

With Both Boosters.
The gore is nice and low, but it is a bit on the wide side.  However the gore has the ability to tip into itself some (perhaps to allow for  use of the Tutti Boosters).  I did not have any wire marks on tissue from the gore. The gore is tacking nicely and is very comfortable as well.  With the gore relaxed it is about 1in wide, but tipped inward it is .8 which isn't bad since it's not even 2in tall.

The gore has some fabric between the wires, so the wires can tip inwards allowing some flexibility.

Overall the Tutti Rouge Jessica is a very pretty bra, and makes for a stunning set.  However, you may find yourself surprised to buy this bra for the boosting benefits only to end up wearing it as an unlined.  In a thin shirt the boosters are fairly noticeable, so it might be better to wear under a thicker shirt. Before seeing the photos, I really thought that the Booster outline was a lot more noticeable, but after seeing the photos it doesn't seem as bad as I thought.  Based on the photos I'm honestly thinking it might just be more of a self awareness thing and other people might not notice, especially if you take the time to see if the Boosters will conform to your shape.

I did get this with the matching panties as well. Unfortunately the panties are a size XS and run fairly TTS, so they are a bit too small for me, I think a small would fit pretty well.   Regardless the set is absolutely stunning (thanks to my boyfriend for assisting with photos).

My Thoughts on Tutti Rouge Lilliana 30D/30E Comparison

http://amzn.to/2pcSVOi

When Tutti Rouge offered me the Lilliana to review along with the Nichole, I accepted.  I was fairly aware that Lilliana has a reputation for being wide and shallow, but you never know sometimes bras surprise you.  The first Lillana I received was a 30D the size I had chose for Nicole (Nichole is the complete opposite of her friend Lillana, Nichole being very deep and narrow), I mentioned that the 30D in Lillana would probably not be a good size, but they wanted to see feedback of how the same size in each fit.  This review will cover both the 30D and the 30E in the Magenta/Red colorway.

Tutti Rouge Lilliana
The Lilliana is a 3 part cup padded lower (thin foam) with strech lace upper section.  The stretch lace does have a ribbon that runs through it, but the ribbon has some stretch as well. As usual it features Tutti Rouge signature heart shaped adjusters. The bow on the gore and straps matches that of the color of ribbon that runs through the lace a rather nice detail that adds character to the bra.

I tried the 30D several months ago and hadn't got around to reviewing it yet, I was awaiting response from Tutti Rouge about trying a larger size, so I could more fairly review the Lilliana.  The day I received the 30E Nichole, was the evening I arrived back from my 2 week work trip, it's always fun coming home to lots of packages!

When I tried Lilliana in 30D, it had given me a glimmer of hope that Lilliana may now be as shallow as she is made out to be.  The wires look rather narrow here, and they are.  In the 30D the wires are only 5in wide.

From the front it doesn't look bad, other than the lousy lighting.

Starting to see some signs of it being too small, but the wire width is good.
Lets take a bit closer look at Lilliana.  This is where you really start to see the fit issues I'm having. The 30D as expected is too small in the Lilliana, but the wire width is about perfect.

A wire width around 5in is a good width for me, so I figured if the 30E got only a bit wider it could still stand a chance.  Well here's the 30E, I will let you take a look before I tell you the results.

Again from the front it doesn't look too bad, the 30E just looks a bit full coverage.

From the side shot there isn't any quad boob, but the cups are a bit wonky where the padding meets the lace.  You can see that where the transition is the padding sticks out and the lace drops down creating unevenness. Perhaps it needs more upper fullness, or it caused by the shallowness and my boobs trying to escape to find more depth.

Still some issues with the upper cup section, but not as bad

The real issues with the 30E come from how much the wires are scaled up from the 30D.  The wires are almost a full inch wider from the 30D.  It obviously gets a great deal shallower as well.  I do require some immediate depth, but I don't usually run into issues with the cup buckling near the wire.
Here you can see how wide the wires are and the buckling.

The wires on the 30E come in at 6in wide compared to the 5in of the 30D.  If Tutti Rouge could make this bra be more projected I would love it.  I really like the styling of it, and I think it would be comfortable if it fit correctly.  Just because the Lilliana didn't work for me doesn't me it couldn't work for you, if you are shallow and require wide wires the Lillana could be your perfect match.

Tutti Rouge Nichole 30DD, A Final Try!!!

After 2 long weeks of working out of town I arrived home this evening to several packages, mostly bras (yay!), as well as some samples of lingerie wash (upcoming reviews, and possibly soon, my bras are in desperate need of washing).  If you've been reading my blog, you know I had been graciously sent the Tutti Rouge Nichole to try and review.  I had tried the Nichole once before being offered one to review and the first one I tried was a 30E (too big), the second a 30D (too small).  Tutti Rouge was amazing enough to send me another Nichole in 30DD.

This time I received the Nichole in a stunning Cobalt blue, it also has black trim, a leopard print bow, and as always Tutti Rouge's signature heart shaped sliders. So the 30DD is a much better fit than either the 30D and the 30E.   As with the previous sizes the 30 band does still run big I can wear it on the loosest hooks with no issues, but can easily get it on the last hook as well, so if you are a true 30 you will most likely need to size down.

From a frontal view it doesn't look bad, it actually looks like a decent fit.  The the 30DD is the best fit of the 3 sizes I have tried.  The lace trim is mostly lay flat and the cups are filled. Despite this I am still having some issues with the fit.

This time the sides of the cup aren't creating as much of a bulge as the 30D did.  For some reason though it is still creating some lumpiness on the side.  Here you can also see how wrinkly the cup is.  The cup wrinkled in the smaller size as well, so I think that is just a characteristic of this bra.  I though perhaps the wrinkling was leading me to think there was bulging, but when I pulled the fabric taut there was still bulging.

If it weren't for the wrinkling and the bulging I would say the shape that Nichole gives is fairly round, but the bulging disrupts the shape and makes it less round. I would also be quite satisfied with the Nichole otherwise. Somehow though it seems to be a bit better under a shirt, though the bulging and wrinkling is still a somewhat evident from a direct side view (it seems more obvious IRL).  The angle shot though seems to look quite nice.  I could probably be alright wearing Nichole under a loose fitting shirt or a sweater.

In this shot it actually looks quite nice.

When I look back at my reiviews of Nichole in the other sizes, I noticed on the 30E while it is too big there is no wrinkling on the outside of the cup.  On the 30E the only wrinkling is at the upper part of the cup, and there is also no bulging.  I guess for a true fit I need the outer fullness or wire width of the 30E and the smaller upper section of the the 30DD.

Tutti Rouge Nichole, A Second Try 2 Cups Down 30D

This is my second attempt of the Tutti Rouge Nichole, my first try was with a 30E read the review here.  This time, I'm trying 2 cups down to a 30D, I thought about sizing down in  the band since they also run large, but I've been preferring my bands not as tight recently and with a 30.5in underbust, even an actual 32 band shouldn't ride up.

I contacted Tutti Rouge with my review of the Nichole in 30E, and explained my concerns with the fit and sizing.  With a bit of their input and my research on Bratabase measurements, we decided on 30D.  They asked if it would be alright for them to send me both a Nichole and Lilliana, for their own research purposes they chose to send Lilliana also as a 30D (Lilliana is known to be shallow and I would have chose a different size).  Much to my surprise Tutti Rouge sent me current colorways, I was expecting older ones.  I received the Nichole in Noir/Creme, it is black with cream color lace, stitching and accents, the bow is a subtle leopard print.

I had high hopes of getting a Nichole that would fit, and I am absolutely in love with this color combo (I do have a bit of a thing for beige/black combos, and I'm not sure why).  I really thought that with the amount of space remaining in the 30E a 30D would be the way to go thinking 30DD would still be too large.  There is no gaping this time, and there's no quad.  From the front this so far looks like a decent fit.  Look at the absolutely adorable leopard bow on the gore, it's adds an unexpected fun element while still meshing well with the overall look of the bra.

The problem comes when you look at the side.  In the upper picture it's obvious it is too small and either there is an apex mismatch going on, or the double  layer mesh meeting with the single layer doesn't align well.  I'm really not quite sure which is the actual issue.

Now for the fit aspect that bothers me the most.  The side of the bra seems to be pushing very firmly into tissue and flattening it out.  Perhaps there isn't enough space for outer fullness, although that could be a different story in a size up.  The issue becomes more apparent under a shirt, you can see it's causing all sorts of lumps and bumps. Because of this push on the outer fullness it's also creating a bit of a pointy shape.

The Nichole does offer narrow wires and a lot of projection, I mean I don't know how many 30D bras I could even remotely fit into without serious quadding.  The band on this does still run closer to a band up this one stretches to 31.5, which for me isn't really an issue, I think my ideal band would be 31in so I need tight 32's or stretchy 30's, so if your are on the smaller side of your band size, or size up for comfort you may want to size down in the band on this one, and probably size down one cup.  If you get lucky and pick the correct size and it's a good shape match you will have an adorable piece of lingerie.  I love the attention to detail Tutti Rouge has with their signature heart shape sliders and their coordinated bows with an unexpected design.

So I still love the look of the Tutti Rouge Nichole, and am holding out a small hope that a 30DD might be the magic size I need for my ideal fit.

Amazon now sells several Tutti Rouge models including Nichole, you can also purchase previous season colorways from Tutti Rouge currenlty 15GBP for bras and 5GBP for panties.

Tutti Rouge Nichole 30E, 1st Attempt

Tutti Rouge, Nichole, a bra that fits, unlined bra
Tutti Rouge Nichole

Since I first learned of Tutti Rouge, I was dying to try some of their bras.  It took quite sometime before I got the chance to try one out though since ordering direct is quite expensive with shipping to the US (although they do have sales on occasion with discounts for buying multiple bras).  Tutti Rouge makes some extremely cute bras and have their signature touch of heart shaped sliders which are adorable.

I came across the Tutti Rouge Nichole in 30E on Bratabase and swapped for it despite the measurements seeming a bit too big for me.  I know unlined bras can be tricky to get a depth measurement on so I took a gamble on it and hoped it was maybe mis-measured or that it being a bit wider it would make up for some extra depth.

So I received the bra and it was definitely too big for me.  This runs at least a cup and a half big and the band runs a bit large as well.  The band wasn't a major concern for me since I'm between a 30/32 (comfy underbust being 30.5), and the band stretched to around 31.  The cups on this have a depth 9.5in and a width of 5.4in (my ideal is between 8-9 depending on cup width and cut of the bra).

From the front you can tell it doesn't really fit, but it's not obvious just how big it is on me.

Here's how it looks when I pull the cup away to show how much of it isn't filled.

Based on what I know about Tutti Rouge from other reviews is that most of their cuts are wide and shallow.  The Nichole is very projected, and it is slightly narrow to average width.  I passed this bra onto to another blogger The Photog's Brog who is typically a 28FF and the cups on this did fit her, but weren't quite perfect for her.   She has much better photos so you can get a better appreciation of the colors and detaling. She did alter the band to get a better fit as well.  If you are projected and can work with average width wires this bra could work for you, but size down in the cup a size or two depending on your shape and if you at the smaller end of your band size, size down in the band as well.

I would really love to try the Nichole again, I'm guessing a 30D could possibly work, but I'm not really sure.  I am also absolutely in love with the Nude/Black Nichole I've seen that is available now.

Update: I've tried Nichole in 30D you can read that review here.

Tutti Rouge is now available on Amazon in current colorways.
